I Think I’ve Gotta Be God’s Favorite Kid

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2020. While ruminating about it one day I remembered friends who had had near death experiences saying that God and I would review every day of my life when I died. I thought, “If I could relive 7 days of my life, exactly as they happened, which ones are they?” I came up with 14 and it put me on a Gratitude High that has lasted to today.   After writing the 14 days it occurred to me that I have known some real characters.
Who are they and what have I learned from each one? That is the basis for the second section of the book. The third is simply a few lessons I’ve learned and some spiritual practices.

Salesmen Can Go to Heaven!

EVERYONE SELLS!

Everyone sells. Your doctor sells you on taking the medicine and remaining his patient; your lawyer sells you on continuing to retain him; your teachers sold you on doing your homework; politicians sell you on voting for them; mothers sell their children on eating their vegetables and children sell their parents on letting them do stupid things. Everyone sells. To start selling on a spiritual basis, I first had to develop spiritual practices to get me moving in the right direction. The following are some of the things I have learned to do to keep me on the spiritual path. One of my mentors says that the measure of my spirituality is not whether I get off of the path; we all get off of the path. The measure is how quickly I get back on. It is my prayer that these will help you as they have helped me.
